Sometimes we act like it's a new phenomenon that young girls take what they see in movies like Twilight to heart. It's worrisome that every middle school girl now waits for a mysterious boy to tell her "you are my life now," however, every generation of women has had crap thrown at it that we have eaten up. I stumbled upon this blog yesterday, and with the Patrick Swayze's recent death, I thought it would be appropriate. It's titled "How Dirty Dancing Ruined My Love Life." The writer is humorous, but she brings up some valid points as well. Enjoy.
