With social networking sites such as twitter and facebook, people are becoming increasingly popular because of what they have to say. Whether it's your status, your tweets or the notes you post, if it's truly relevant you could be regarded as a journalist. Even on the news, fox five allows you to call in and reoport news as you see it happening. Moreover, the first person to report a plane crash of some sort was a guy on twitter. The only issue with twitter and facebook of course is credibility, however, some of these new stations are not necessarily credible... cough cough (FOX).
Has anyone seen the movie Julia & Julia? I love that movie by the way... but the point is she started a blog people started to listen to her, she became popular, wrote a book, and look...a movie was made. Sounds like a journalist, author, and known figure to me... forget school!

Just Kiddiing!
