MICROSOFT WORD???
So, silly me, I bought Miscrosoft Office 2008 off of ebay thinking "Sweet, I'll save $50." Now my package has been "lost in the mail," I'm out $100, and I still have no Microsoft Office. And I really want it. I HAVE TO HAVE IT!!!!
Do any of you guys have Microsoft Word or Microsoft Office? Would you be willing to let me borrow your software and put it on my computer. I do a heck of a lot of writing and no other software will do.
I know it's a long shot, but I had to ask. Thanks in advance for hearing me out, even if you can't help me.

Re: MICROSOFT WORD???
OpenOffice, anyone? It's a free program that does everything Microsoft Word does. The only drawback to it is the pages aren't formatted automatically to the 1 inch margins like Word, but that's a pretty minor inconvenience considering it's 100% superfree.

I downloaded it, but I'd prefer Word. I'm downloading a bittorrent of word right now and hopefully it'll work. Damnit.

Re: MICROSOFT WORD???
It reminds me more of that lame TextEdit thing I get with mac anyway more than it reminds me of Word.
Anyway, I am just more comfortable with the way Word works. I have to write a whole lot and to really be motivated to get that shit done, I'd need to be as comfortable as possible.

Re: MICROSOFT WORD???
OpenOffice is what I use, mainly cause it kicks Word's ass hard. The new release of Word is terrible; it tries to auto format everything forcing whatever document you are working on to have insane margins or other glitches. OO is easy to use and does far more than Word does.
